Dr. Binita Ashar is a board-certified general surgeon and former FDA Office Director with nearly 25 years of experience overseeing national portfolios in general and plastic surgery, infection control, and advanced procedural technologies. She also served as Special Advisor for Medicine and Public Health at the White House.

She is the founder of Clarity Surgical Advisors, where she advises executive teams and investors on clinical and regulatory strategy, evidence development, and risk at critical points in surgical device development.

She serves on the board of the Society of Robotic Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons Academy of Master Surgeon Educators.
